• Conversation data: messages and questions you exchange with other users, including any bounty you attach to a question.
• Payment information: payment processing is handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We receive transaction records (amounts, dates, and the fact that a payout was made), but card details are not stored on our servers.
• Usage data: we may collect basic technical and usage information (such as browser type and pages visited) to operate and improve the Service.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• Match questions to creators and facilitate conversations;
• Process bounties and settle payouts to creators;
• Send you important service communications (account, payout, and security notices);
• Prevent abuse, fraud, and other harmful activity;

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

• With payment providers (e.g. Stripe) to process transactions and payouts;

• With the creator or fan you are in a conversation with, to the extent necessary to facilitate that conversation;
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of the Service, our users, or the public.

Your public pipe page (including your @handle, display name, and any public profile details) is visible to visitors. Conversation threads are private to the two participants unless you choose to share them. Please only share information you are comfortable making public.

We retain account and conversation information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information where practicable, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or payment obligations.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of passwords and protection of data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may:

• Access or update the information in your account settings;
• Edit the public details shown on your pipe page;
• Close your account, which removes your account from the Service.

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and use reasonable efforts to notify you.
